Katie obtained her Masters in Social Work with a Mental Health Focus from University of Utah, equipping her with the knowledge and skills necessary to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals facing complex challenges.
Katie’s expertise lies in working with diverse populations facing multiple issues. Her experience in helping those with a history of criminal offenses and substance use disorders are both extensive and impactful. Katie’s passion extends to addressing the critical issues of chronic stress, trauma, and mental illness. This has led her to develop and operate trauma and substance use programs, effectively providing support to the individuals and the family system.
She is trained in various modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma-focused approaches, experiential therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and family therapy. This skill set allows her to tailor her approach to meet the unique needs of her clients, fostering healing and empowerment.
